The Hexo+ is one of a new breed of filming drone, a breed that doesn’t need a pilot. Using sophisticated GPS trickery, and the smartphone in your pocket, the Hexo+ can be used by anyone. With settings accessed via an app, you can change the height, distance, and speed of the drone when it is filming you, and it will maintain those settings until you stop recording. As the brainchild of snowboarder Xavier de le Rue, the final build has been in development for some time and has been rigorously tested so we think it will be pretty polished when it is released to the public. The only problem we can see with these follow-me style drones, is that once everyone has one, they’ll be crashing into each other all over the pistes.
